OIL CHANGE SERVICE:
One of the most common maintenance items is the oil change service. For cars that use conventional oil, it is recommended to have the oil changed about every 3,000 miles. If your car uses synthetic oil then it is recommended to have the oil changed every 6,000 miles. It is important to keep up with your oil changes. If oil changes are not performed at or very near the recommended intervals you run the risk of your oil turning into sludge. The sludge can cause driveability issues with the vehicle as well as major engine damage.
When you bring your car into Eurasian Auto Repair for an oil change service we not do we change the oil in your car we complete an entire 48-point inspection. The inspection includes visually inspecting brakes, tires, suspension, other fluids and more. All services performed at Eurasian Auto Repair including oil changes service and 48-point inspections are performed by an ASE certified technician.
Another common maintenance service is your car’s brakes. Your car will typically require brake pad and rotor replacements about every 25,000 to 30,000 miles. However, you should keep in mind that depending on your driving habits and conditions you may need a brake service sooner than the typical mileage interval. Signs that your brakes need to be replaced or there is another issue with your braking system include but are not limited to noises when braking, pulling, grabbing, and vibration.
Some dealers will tell you that you have to get the recommended auto service items done at their shop to keep your warranty in force. Furthermore, they may tell you that you have to follow their supplemental service list. Not true! Just keep records and receipts, should any questions arise over a warranty claim. However, what is true is that doing no maintenance — oil changes and filters at recommended intervals — can void a warranty.
